Chisang Park (Violin/Viola)
Chisang Park holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University, Korea, and has continued his studies at Essen Folkwang Musik Hochschule with Prof. Mintcho Mintchev and at Mainz Musik Hochschule in Germany along with Prof. Anne Shih.
He also studied with world-renowned violinists such as Denes Zsigmondy and Viktor Pikayzen.
A prize-winner of major competitions in Korea, he was a guest concertmaster in Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Pohang City Symphony Orchestra and Chuncheon Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, he served as the concertmaster in Gyeongbuk Provincial Symphony Orchestra.
As a chamber musician he was the 1st violin of Ensemble Clasia from 2005 to 2008.
In 2009, he organized Duo Essen with his wife Mihseon Bahk and they organized and held chamber music concerts with Prof. Anne Shih. They released their CD "For Elise" (2010) and held Duo Essen Recitals in Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Hall.
From 2004 to 2022, Park taught violin at Kyungpook National University and Keimyung-F. Chopin Academy of Music in Daegu, Korea.
He is currently teaching a chamber music class at Keimyung University in Daegu, Korea. Since 2013, he has been leading ‘Ensemble Sonore’ as a music director.
