The Mastercourse

Dear musician,

Do you have an upcoming competition and you want to

perform the repertoire in front of an audience?

Do you want to get input from international masters

or get to know your next university professor?

Do you want to increase active ensemble playing skills

or play as a soloist with orchestra?

Then this course might be for you!

The Mastercourse of Musiktage am Rhein is focused on the art of performance. Feeling comfortable on stage is essential for artists to express themselves fully, deliver a convincing and clear interpretation, and create a strong connection with the audience. In addition to individual lessons with renowned faculty, students will work and perform alongside professional musicians, gaining inspiration from their skills.

Over the course of two weeks, we will also explore the intersections between performing solo repertoire, chamber music, and orchestral music. Students will have the opportunity and challenge to perform in multiple concerts, both solo repertoire and with the festival string orchestra. The top participants will have the chance to perform selected solo pieces accompanied by the festival string orchestra.
